This handcolored copperplate engraving, taken from Friedrich Bertuch's Bilderbuch fur Kinder (Picture Book for Children), published in Weimar in 1798, showcases two intriguing reptiles: the Rhinoceros Viper, Bitis nasicornis, and the Carpet Python, Morelia spilota.
