On 18th June 1949, Laing staff from the North East area went on a day trip to Bridlington. The contracts taking part in this outing were Leicester, East Leake, Bolton on Dearne, Stubbs Wood, Office Site, Doncaster, Huddersfield, Carringtons Coppice and Darlington. Mr W. K. Laing and his wife also joined the trip
