In this snapshot from August 7th, 1986, we witness an outpouring of joy and jubilation as these resilient families celebrate their hard-fought victory over Liverpool City Council. Children can be seen waving enthusiastically alongside parents and grandparents who have called Gerard Gardens home since before World War II. The sense of communal spirit is palpable as smiles light up every face. This image not only encapsulates the architectural beauty of Gerard Gardens with its art deco flair but also highlights the power of collective action and determination within communities.
