It received nine nominations at the 36th Academy Awards, including for Best Picture, and won four: Best Art Direction, Best Cinematography, Best Visual Effects and Best Costume Design.
The man in the picture is unknown, though possibly a reporter for The Daily Herald Newspaper, which this picture was shot for.
