Born as Camille Clifford in 1885, she later married the actor, Leslie Evans, and became known as Camille Clifford Evans. Her striking beauty and grace made her a popular subject for illustrations, earning her the title of a Gibson Girl. The Gibson Girls were a series of illustrations created by Charles Dana Gibson in the late 1890s, depicting idealized, fashionable women of the time.
