Title: John Edwards (1637-1716) - The Calvinist Churchman John Edwards, born on October 13, 1637, was a prominent English churchman of Calvinist tendencies during the late 17th and early 18th centuries. Edwards was educated at Emmanuel College, Cambridge, and was ordained a deacon in the Church of England in 1660. Despite the challenges, Edwards remained steadfast in his beliefs and continued to preach and write about Calvinist theology.
