Blackfriars Bridge opened 19 November 1769 (the first bridge) and then the current bridge opened 6 November 1869. Central London, in the vicinity of St Paul Cathedral.
Picture shows electric trams, that by 1903 had risen to 300 being used in London, and horse and carts still being the main form of transport. The News of The World, The Daily Mail and J Sainsbury, visible in this picture, had all been established in the late 1800s. The Daily Mirror, who took this photograph, launched their first edition in November 1903
