Commissioned by King Charles II in 1675, this historic observatory holds great significance as it was here that the position of Astronomer Royal was established. The artist behind this remarkable piece is Reinhold Thiele. Perched on a hill within the serene Greenwich Park, overlooking the majestic River Thames, this Edwardian landmark stands as a testament to scientific exploration and discovery.
