This historic photograph captures the determined gaze and focused expression of Lieutenant Edward H. "Butch" O'Hare, a decorated US Navy fighter pilot during World War II. O'Hare, who earned the Congressional Medal of Honor for his heroic actions, is shown in flight gear and sitting in the cockpit of his Grumman F4F Wildcat fighter plane.
