These pyramids served as the tombs for the Pharaohs Cheops (Khufu), Chephren (Khafre), and Mycerinus (Menkaure), respectively. The Pyramids, located in the desert on the outskirts of modern-day Giza, are some of the most famous geographical features in the world. The Great Pyramid of Giza, the largest and most famous of the three, is the oldest and was built for Pharaoh Khufu. The Pyramid of Khafre, the second largest, is renowned for its slightly smaller size but its unique angle, which gives it a slightly more impressive appearance from a distance. The Pyramid of Menkaure, the smallest of the three, is often overlooked but is still an impressive structure in its own right.
